The story behind the most iconic jerseys of recent times

Real Madrid – 2016/17 season
Real Madrid's 2016/17 season was one of the most successful in the club's recent history, securing both the La Liga title and their 12th Champions League title, also known as "La Duodécima". This season cemented Real Madrid's status as one of the world's most dominant clubs under coach Zinedine Zidane.

Adidas designed an elegant white jersey with purple detailing on the collar and sleeves, adding a modern touch to the club's traditional style. The purple was a reference to previous Real Madrid shirts, giving the shirt a nostalgic yet modern feel. Worn by stars such as Cristiano Ronaldo, Sergio Ramos and Luka Modrić, this shirt is forever associated with the club's historic triumph in which they became the first team to win the Champions League two years in a row in the new format.

Juventus – 2017/18 season
Juventus are known for their classic black and white stripes, and the shirt from the 2017/18 season is no exception. Designed by Adidas, this shirt paid tribute to the club's rich history while adding modern elements with a slightly wider stripe split. It was also the first season in which Juventus' new logo, a stylized "J", was used on the shirt, marking a new era for the club both on and off the pitch.

The jersey was worn by the likes of Gianluigi Buffon, Paulo Dybala and Gonzalo Higuaín, and Juventus continued their dominance in Serie A by winning the championship for the seventh consecutive season. The shirt has become iconic for its modern style and its association with the club's continued success.

FC Barcelona – 2014/15 season

Barcelona's 2014/15 shirt has become iconic as it was worn during one of the club's most successful periods. Under the leadership of coach Luis Enrique and with the feared attacking trio of Lionel Messi, Neymar and Luis Suárez, also known as "MSN", Barcelona won both La Liga, the Copa del Rey and the Champions League, achieving another historic treble.

The shirt, designed by Nike, marked a return to the classic, wide blaugrana stripes, after several seasons with narrower stripes. The colors were deeper and more intense, giving the jersey a modern and powerful look. The sponsor logo of Qatar Airways adorned the front of the shirt and the pride and history of the club was built into its design. This shirt stands as a reminder of Barcelona's dominance in European football and one of the best seasons in the club's history.

Manchester United – 2007/08 season
Manchester United's shirt from the 2007/08 season is another modern classic. This red shirt with white details on the sleeves was worn by stars such as Cristiano Ronaldo, Wayne Rooney and Ryan Giggs as the club won both the Premier League and Champions League this season.

The shirt, designed by Nike, had a simple but elegant design that paid tribute to the club's long history. In the Champions League final against Chelsea, which ended in a penalty shoot-out, this shirt became a symbol of United's will to win. Ronaldo, who had a fantastic season, scored 42 goals in all competitions. It is now one of the most sought after Manchester United shirts among collectors.
